The Clifton Cubs were the 50-42 winner over the Keene Chargers when they last played one another on January 5th, but their luck changed this time around. Clifton took a 38-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Keene.
Clifton lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Meagan Henderson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Laylah Gaona, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Clifton's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-11. As for Keene, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clifton will take on Grandview at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Grandview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Keene, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Maypearl at 6:00 p.m.
