Stillman Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Byron since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cardinals will host the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Stillman Valley's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Genoa-Kingston 17-0. Considering the Cardinals have won ten games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Byron hadn't done well against Dixon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Dukes & Duchesses 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since March 16, 2024.

Alyssa Bauer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Bauer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

Bauer wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mia Girten, who went 1-for-4 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Girten has hit this season.

Stillman Valley has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Byron, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.

Everything went Stillman Valley's way against Byron in their previous matchup on Thursday, as Stillman Valley made off with a 15-2 victory. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
