Simms was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to seventh in Northern C (8 Man). The Tigers defeated Sunburst 30-0 earlier in the week.
Chester-Joplin-Inverness extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Power/Dutton-Brady, 32-24. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Chinook's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Scott Schmitt threw for 41 and one touchdown and Jacob MacLean had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Zach Molyneaux chipped in 192 yards. Geoff Qualls helped Chinook's passing attack out by catching one ball for 16 yards.
Chinook's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Beeters feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Molyneaux has thrown for 313 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Dylan Surber has four catches for 148 yards. Molyneaux also leads the league in rushing with 966 yards.
The marquee game in Northern C (8 Man) this week will be the clash between the Pirates and Great Falls Central. Power/Dutton-Brady comes into the matchup ranked 22nd in the state, while the Mustangs ranks 15th.
The Beeters' Molyneaux needs only 34 yards against Simms next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
Centerville led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on Fort Benton.
