This season hasn't been kind to The Gilroy Mustangs, who are still winless after their tenth game. They took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Piedmont Hills. Gilroy has not had much luck with Piedmont Hills recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Dylan Blank, who rushed for 187 yards and a touchdown. Blank hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Alonzo Johnson got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Gilroy's loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Christopher and 8-2 Branham (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 59.1% over those games). As for Piedmont Hills, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Gilroy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Piedmont Hills also has no future games currently scheduled.
