Basketball Recap: Imani Christian Academy Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Imani Christian Academy Saints lost to the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen on the road by a 84-67 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (59), the Saints still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Imani Christian Academy lost, don't look at RJ Sledge. Despite the final result, he went 14 for 25 on his way to 38 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Sledge a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of I'Zayah Bradshaw, who posted five points and four steals.

Imani Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Don Bosco Prep, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Imani Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hempfield Area at 7:30 p.m. Imani Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.7 points per game this season. Don Bosco Prep and Rutgers Prep will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Rutgers Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Don Bosco Prep likes a good challenge.
