After a string of three wins, The McMinn Central Chargers''s good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 62-55 to Chattanooga Central. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (51), McMinn Central still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Ronye Watson, who rushed for 394 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. Watson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. Maddox "caden" Jones was another key contributor, throwing for 239 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes.
McMinn Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Chattanooga Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
McMinn Central will be playing at home against Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Watertown is ranked 174th, while McMinn Central is ranked 155th). Chattanooga Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
