Despite the loss, Mayer had strong showings from Danni McCann, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five steals, and Fatima Morales, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 52.5% of Mayer's points, marking the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Kyla Emerson was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with five assists and three steals for San Pasqual Valley. Another player making a difference was Daeja Villicana, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Mayer has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10-1 record this season. As for San Pasqual Valley, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
