On Friday Russellville take on Murray at Murray Middle School at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
Russellville might have drawn first blood against Trigg County last week, but it was Trigg County who got the last laugh. Russellville have to be aching after a bruising 16-45 defeat to Trigg County. Russellville were down by 8-38 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Murray put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. Everything went their way against Marshall County as they made off with a 48-20 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Murray.
Murray's win lifted them to 3-2 while Russellville's loss dropped them down to 2-3. We'll see if Murray's success rolls on or if Russellville are able to steal their positive momentum.
