The Dominion Christian Knights had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past The Stonehaven School 41-6 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-4.
Dominion Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Jackson, who scored 13 points. Jackson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Emory Maiyer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven steals.
Dominion Christian pushed their record up to 10-8 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for The Stonehaven School, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Dominion Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cristo Rey Atlanta at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. Cristo Rey Atlanta comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. The Stonehaven School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
