The Bell Creek Academy Panthers will square off against New Dimensions at TBD on Tuesday. Bell Creek Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Even though IMG Academy Silver scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, Bell Creek Academy still came out on top. Bell Creek Academy took their contest against the Ascenders 62-55. Given Bell Creek Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Ascenders are ranked 630th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bell Creek Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jermal Jones led the charge by scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jones hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, New Dimensions' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. The matchup between them and Faith Christian wasn't particularly close, with New Dimensions falling 66-52. New Dimensions has struggled against the Lions recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Bell Creek Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for New Dimensions, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
