Elkins barely beat Providence Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Elks put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 15-1 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Elks, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Elkins has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Providence Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-6 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Elkins will square off against Springdale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence Academy, they will face off against Ozark Catholic Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
