The Eastside Rams will stay at home for another game and welcome the Suwannee Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Eastside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Eastside at home against the Warriors as the team secured a 76-28 victory. That looming 76-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Eastside yet this season.
Eastside found their leader in underclassman Gage Webber, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Webber pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lemarion Houston, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Suwannee had to settle for a 55-53 defeat against the Hornets on Thursday. Suwannee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Eastside's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Suwannee, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Everything went Eastside's way against the Bulldogs when the teams last played back in November of 2020 as the Rams made off with a 50-28 victory. Does Eastside have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
