Given Hillsboro's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Overton is ranked 261st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillsboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ragan Starks, who scored 15 points. Raigan Wiggins was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Hillsboro's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Overton, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will take on Cane Ridge at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Cane Ridge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Overton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McGavock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McGavock is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
