5A Region II District 12 recap September 10, 2013
Lee moved up to 70 from 266 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region II District 12. The Raiders climbed the ranks as a result of topping Lufkin 42-30.
Mesquite fell to Bowie 57-22 last week, the largest margin of any game. Robert Blythe was a bright spot for the Skeeters, as he ran for 50 yards and caught 5 passes for 83 yards in the loss.
Mesquite's dynamic duo of Trey LeBlanc and Blythe proved to be unstoppable against the Volunteers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jant Weary helped Mesquite's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 21 yards.

Blythe was the best receiver in the league this week as the Skeeters fell to Danny DeArman's team.
Rico Henderson was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 106 yards as Rockwall-Heath fell to the Volunteers. Teammate Jordan Hoy added to the ground attack by rushing for 55 yards.
Hoy was a passing and rushing force as the Hawks topped South Garland. Hoy's favorite target this week was Caleb Moss, who caught 3 passes for 31 yards.
LeBlanc put up the best numbers in passing as the Skeeters fell to Bowie. He finished with 10 completions for 123 yards.
Leading 5A Region II District 12 in both passing and receiving yards, Horn's Destri White and Jarrison Stewart have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback White has thrown for 443 yards this season, while Stewart has 13 catches for 253 yards. Henderson from Rockwall-Heath leads the league in rushing with 207 yards.
Rockwall led the league in scoring this week by notching 66 points on Rowlett.
