You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Perrysburg's strategy against Springfield on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Yellow Jackets blew the Blue Devils out of the water with a 45-13 final score. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Perrysburg was led to victory by Liam Nowakowski and Brady Maxwell. Nowakowski rushed for 166 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, while Maxwell rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Nowakowski really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Perrysburg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 367 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Perrysburg's record now sits at 3-1. As for Springfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Perrysburg is taking a road trip to challenge Southview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellow Jackets will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Springfield, they will be playing at home against Whitmer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Blue Devils their first taste of in-conference action this season.
