The Charleston Math & Science Riptide won the last time they faced the Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Charleston Math & Science walked away with a 52-43 victory over the Phoenix. The win made it back-to-back wins for Charleston Math & Science.
Charleston Math & Science's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Simmons, who scored ten points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Zion King, who scored eight points.
Charleston Math & Science's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-10. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Charleston Math & Science will head out on the road to face off against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cross knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully the Riptide likes a good challenge. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Islanders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. John's is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
