Battle Ground Academy has gone 9-1 against Franklin Road Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Battle Ground Academy barely beat Harpeth the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 11-2 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Eily Wolfe was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lauren Atkins, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Gracie Hollis was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
Battle Ground Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harpeth only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Franklin Road Academy hadn't done well against Grace Christian Academy recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
Like Battle Ground Academy, Franklin Road Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Millie Pardue. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Pardue was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Ren Spencer was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Eleanna Nappi also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Battle Ground Academy's record is now 12-9. As for Franklin Road Academy, their record now sits at 9-4.
Everything went Battle Ground Academy's way against Franklin Road Academy when the teams last played back in March, as Battle Ground Academy made off with a 13-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
