The Ridgeland Titans entered their tilt with the Vicksburg Gators with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Ridgeland breezed by the Gators at home to the tune of 65-26 on Tuesday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Ridgeland had established a 31 point advantage.
Leading Ridgeland to victory were Raniya Fisher and Eva Young. Fisher scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Young scored 20 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Young has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last eight times she's played. Laci Buchanan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Ridgeland's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Vicksburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeland will square off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
