After flying high against the Calhoun Sandcrabs on Tuesday, the Sweeny Bulldogs came back down to earth. Sweeny took a serious blow against Tenaha on Thursday, falling 58-31.
When it comes to explaining why Sweeny lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kendrick Hernandez. Despite the final result, he scored 8 points. Hernandez hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Sloan Novak was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 9 rebounds.
Sweeny now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Tenaha, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Sweeny's road trip will continue as they head out to face Salado at 6:30 p.m. on December 7th. As for Tenaha, they will square off against St. Stephen's Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
