Melba won the last time they faced Marsing and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Melba Mustangs took down the Marsing Huskies 75-58. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Mustangs.
 Marsing's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Juan Ponce, who  posted 27  points and seven  steals, and  Teagan Kinney, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and 15  rebounds. Ponce's morning made it five games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Dresden Wood, who  scored nine points.
Melba has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record  this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Marsing,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-9.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Melba will head out to  face off against The Ambrose School  at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Ambrose School knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Melba likes a good challenge. As for Marsing, they will face off against Vision at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Marsing has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
