The Gate City Blue Devils had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past Marion with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 28-14. Winning may never get old, but Gate City sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Gate City has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Gate City will head out on the road to face off against Graham at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Graham knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Gate City likes a good challenge. Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
