The Brooks Lions extended their postseason success on Friday against the Priceville Bulldogs. They really took it to the Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-42 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Brooks, who have now won four games by 28 points or more so far this season.
Brooks got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Omar Joyner out in front who rushed for 320 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 16.8 yards per carry. Joyner really tore up the turf during one magnificent 91-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Burrough, who rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Brooks has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Priceville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Brooks is on the road again on Friday and play against Westminster Christian Acadmey at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Westminster Christian Acadmey is ranked 133rd, while Brooks is ranked 135th). Priceville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
