Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mercersburg Academy). They really took it to the GVCS Broadfording Lions for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-50 win. The Blue Storm pushed the score to 71-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

GVCS Broadfording lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Fernando Garcia, who posted 13 points. Garcia is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Nashon Mann was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

The victory was the third in a row for Mercersburg Academy, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. As for GVCS Broadfording, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Mercersburg Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for GVCS Broadfording, they will venture away from home to take on Grace Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
