The Prairie Heights Panthers lost against the Leo Lions back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Prairie Heights fell 44-36 to Leo. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Prairie Heights in their matchups with Leo: they've now lost three in a row.
Prairie Heights' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckinlee Kain, who scored six points along with five rebounds. Emily McCrea was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Leo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayla Adams out in front who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Abby Bovie, who scored 13 points.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prairie Heights' homestand continues as they prepare to take on Angola at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Angola is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Leo, they will be playing at home against Norwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Norwell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leo in Indiana (Norwell is ranked 15th, while Leo is ranked 124th).
