Flandreau extended the longest winning streak in Big East this week by beating Platte/Geddes/Dakota Christian, 51-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Flandreau took down the Black Panthers 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jace Christiansen threw for 48 yards and two touchdowns and ran for three yards in the win.
Chad Stadem's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Mitchel Foster chipped in 120 yards. Jacob Patterson helped Flandreau's passing attack out by catching one ball for three yards.
Kyle Scofield was the best wideout in the league this week as the Fliers defeated Platte/Geddes/Dakota Christian. Scofield tallied two receptions for 48 yards.
McCook Central/Montrose's Brandon Reif and Jacob Heumiller have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Reif has thrown for 496 yards this season, while Heumiller, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 17 catches for 219 yards. Flandreau's Patterson leads the league in rushing yards with 836.
The Cougars made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,825 from 8,089.
