Liberty and Brookfield are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Liberty Leopards will head out on the road to take on the Brookfield Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
On Monday, things could have been worse for Liberty, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-27 loss to South Range. Liberty has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Brookfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 51-26 walloping at the hands of Champion. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Brookfield has suffered against Champion since February 1, 2020.
Liberty's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Brookfield, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-6 record last season and are now at 4-10.
Liberty was dealt a bruising 44-14 loss at the hands of Brookfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Brookfield's Cailey Wellman, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 20 rebounds.
