Christ Our Rock Lutheran is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City with a sharp 18-1 victory on Saturday. The Silver Stallions have beaten the Bobcats the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bobcats has come to flipping the script.

Peyton Jett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Williamson, who fired off two home runs, nine RBI, and three runs while going 5-for-5. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Katie Oelze, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.
Christ Our Rock Lutheran was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .514. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Breese Central came into Saturday's game having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over Woodlawn on Saturday. The Cougars not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26th.
Breese Central let Cece Toennies and Claire Albers run wild. Toennies scored four runs while going 4-for-4, while Albers scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most hits Toennies has posted since back in April of 2024. Kate Johnson was another key player, scoring four runs while going 2-for-5.
Christ Our Rock Lutheran pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Breese Central, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-10.
