Berwick were able to grind out a solid win over Patterson last Friday, winning 35-21. No one put up better numbers for Berwick than senior Joshua Jones, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 191 yards on the ground and snatched 2 receiving TDs. One of the most memorable plays of the game was Jones's 64-yard touchdown rush in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, Abbeville might have drawn first blood against North Vermilion, but it was North Vermilion who got the last laugh. Abbeville came up short against North Vermilion, falling 27-36.
Berwick took their matchup against Abbeville the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 21-0 score. Will Berwick repeat their success, or does Abbeville have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
