After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chicago Hope Academy, McCallie was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars 4-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Tornado as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
McCallie got a great performance from Kelby Barnett as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Barnett a new career-high.
