Brookstone is 1-9 against St. Anne-Pacelli since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The pair will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Brookstone will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 284th, while St. Anne-Pacelli is ranked 46th).
Last Saturday, Brookstone was able to grind out a solid win over St. Mary's Academy, taking the game 62-53. The victory was just what Brookstone needed coming off of a 60-39 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brookstone to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chapman Dykes, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Henderson, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, St. Anne-Pacelli earned a 47-34 victory over Douglas County on Saturday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points St. Anne-Pacelli has scored all season.
Brookstone has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
Brookstone came up short against St. Anne-Pacelli in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 59-46. Can Brookstone avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
