On Friday, Mill Valley faced Shawnee Mission Northwest in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Mill Valley Jaguars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  77-75  win over the Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars. The high-scoring effort was just what the Jaguars needed considering they were shutout in their previous   game.
Mill Valley is also on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record  this season. As for Shawnee Mission Northwest, their  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mill Valley will host Kauffman  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Shawnee Mission Northwest,  it'll be Northside v. Southside when they and Shawnee Mission South meet  at 7:00  p.m.  on February 7th.
