Baseball Recap: Norton Has No Trouble Against Dover-Sherborn

Norton lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Dover-Sherborn, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Lancers put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday. The game marked the Lancers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

The team relied heavily on Quinn Murphy, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Pace Ribeiro was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Norton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Norton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Dover-Sherborn, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-4.
