Even though Whitehouse has not done well against Mt. Pleasant recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Whitehouse enjoyed a cozy 47-32 victory over Mt. Pleasant. Given Whitehouse's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while Mt. Pleasant is ranked 789th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Texas was able to grind out a solid victory over Pine Tree on Friday, taking the game 62-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Texas.
Whitehouse has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Texas, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Whitehouse skirted past Texas 37-34 in their previous meeting on January 2nd. Will Whitehouse repeat their success, or does Texas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
