Baseball Recap: Foothill Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Foothill entered their tilt with Hilltop on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 6-1. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Foothill got a great performance from Brayden Stidham as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Dahlin Scow was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaden Kekoa Sibal, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Foothill pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hilltop, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Foothill will square off against Shadow Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilltop, they will be taking part in a tournament against Escondido at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
