The Bonita Springs Bullsharks had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Dunbar by a score of 26-18 on Tuesday. The win was just what Bonita Springs needed coming off of a 53-13 loss in their prior matchup.
Dunbar's loss came despite strong showings from Carmen Johnson and Daniya Maycock. Johnson dropped a double-double on 11 rebounds and ten steals, while Maycock scored four points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last ten games she's played.
Bonita Springs' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Dunbar, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonita Springs has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. Dunbar will take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Immokalee is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
