The Rangeview Raiders will take on the Thornton Trojans at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Thornton took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Rangeview, who comes in off a win.

 Emmanuel De La Torre and  Colten Burch made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing,  De La Torre   struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile,  Burch   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. De La Torre has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. At the plate,  De La Torre  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Burch  scored a  run while going 1-for-2. Those  runs marked the first that  De La Torre  scored this season.
 In other batting news,  Derek Catalan was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those  hits were  his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rene Castillo, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Thornton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They lost  20-0 to Manual. The  match marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.
 Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rangeview, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
