On Saturday, Canton came up short against North Mesquite and fell 49-40.
Leading North Mesquite to victory were Micah Vaughn and Jermiah Grigsby. Vaughn scored 18 points, while Grigsby scored 19 points along with 7 steals. Vaughn continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Brooks, who scored 4 points along with 4 steals.
Canton's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for North Mesquite, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Canton is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Caddo Mills at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Caddo Mills has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 395 points over their last six contests. As for North Mesquite, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ennis at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
