After seven games on the road, Campbell County is heading back home. They will take on the Sheridan Broncs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Campbell County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
Campbell County pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-60 to Stevens.
Despite the defeat, Campbell County had strong showings from Nate Williams, who scored 17 points along with three steals, and Lane Hladky, who scored 15 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Williams grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Evans, who scored five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Sheridan had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.9 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They secured a 46-41 W over Kelly Walsh. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Sheridan has scored all season.
Campbell County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Sheridan, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Campbell County was able to grind out a solid win over Sheridan in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 67-56. Does Campbell County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sheridan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
