The Rowlett Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Wylie East Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rowlett is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Texas (they are ranked 111th, while Wylie East is ranked 298th).
After failing to score in their last contest, Rowlett made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lakeview Centennial on Tuesday. They never let the Patriots onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. That four goal margin sets a new team best for Rowlett this season.
They hit Lakeview Centennial with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Dylan Flores,
Liam Medina,
Miguel Garcia, and
Rigoberto Carrillo.
Meanwhile, Wylie East and Lakeview Centennial finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.
Rowlett has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. Wylie East's draw makes their record 5-6-4 this season.
Rowlett beat Wylie East by a goal in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 1-0. Will Rowlett repeat their success, or does Wylie East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
