Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Golden Demons. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Demons apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
 Lakewood took Golden into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 22-25, 20-25,  15-9.
 Leading Golden to victory were  Anja Wisenbaker and  Trinity Simon.  Wisenbaker  had 11  digs and one assist, while  Simon  had 14  kills, 11  digs,  and three  aces. Simon is  on a roll when it comes to  kills, as she's  now  had five or more in each of the last 23 games she's  played dating back to last season.
Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Golden, their victory  ended  a  three-match drought at home  and  bumped them up to 11-7.
 Lakewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  loss against Arvada West on the 23rd. As for Golden, they have also already played their next match,  a  3-2  win against Fountain-Fort Carson on the 24th.
