Section 6 B - North recap October 29, 2013
Barker/Royalton-Hartland's Jacob Haight rumbled for the longest rushing play in Section 6 B - North this season in his game against Starpoint last week. Haight ran for 87 yards on the play and finished with 166 on the day as his team fell to the Spartans.
Lewiston-Porter was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Lancers beat Newfane 24-6 earlier in the week.
Haight was a passing and rushing force as Barker/Royalton-Hartland lost to Starpoint.
Haight was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 166 yards on 19 carries as Bill Bruning's team fell to Alden. Tyler Child's also contributed to the rushing game with 29 yards on the ground.
The Mustangs' Jason Hellwig and Barna led Section 6 B - North in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Hellwig has thrown for 1,158 yards this season, while Barna has 32 catches for 523 yards. Ed Wolfe from Albion leads the league in rushing with 1,081 yards.
Marshawn Gibson has rushed for 997 yards on 113 carries so far this year.
Medina/Webber fell to the Bulldogs 25-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Barna was a bright spot for Eric Valley's team, as he ran for 23 yards and caught 3 passes for 71 yards in the loss.
