The Oceanside Mariners put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 57-47 victory over Medomak Valley. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Oceanside has scored all season.
Zeb Foster was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cohen Galley, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Oceanside pushed their record up to 14-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Medomak Valley, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2.
Oceanside will head out on the road to challenge Belfast at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belfast comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Medomak Valley, they will be playing at home against Lincoln Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maine (Lincoln Academy is ranked 27th, while Medomak Valley is ranked 19th).
