Sanger West had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.
Sanger West's win came from a few key players Justin Garza will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jayden Vang, who had 37 assists and five digs. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Maximus Inboon was another key player, getting 16 digs.
Justin Garza pushed their record up to 26-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Sanger West, their record now sits at 22-12.
Justin Garza skirted past Sanger West 3-2 in their previous meeting on April 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Guardians since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
