PikeView had a rough outing against River View last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. PikeView skirted past Mt. View 28-26. The victory was some much needed relief for PikeView as it spelled the end of their five-game losing streak.
PikeView's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 21 first-half points. Mt. View wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 14 to make it 21-14 heading into the break. PikeView almost let the matchup get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it.
PikeView's win brought them up to 4-5. With their first defeat of the season, Mt. View fell to 7-1.
PikeView will stay at home next week against Clay County at 7:30 PM. Unlike PikeView, Clay County will be limping in after taking a loss. Mt. View will look to defend their home turf against Fayetteville at 7:30 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
