Center Place's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Christian Learning Center by a score of 41-38. Center Place was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Christian Learning Center apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Christian Learning Center found their leader in underclassman Easton Rhodes, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Koch, who scored six points along with two blocks.
Center Place bumped their record down to 4-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Christian Learning Center, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Center Place will take on Heartland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Learning Center, they will head out on the road to face off against Chanute Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Chanute Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
