Everything went Madison's way against Lenape Valley on Saturday as they made off with a 42-14 win. Madison were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Madison's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 28 first-half points. Lenape Valley wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 7 to make it 28-7 heading into the break. Madison put the match away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The win got them back to even at 3-3. The loss dropped Lenape Valley's record to 3-4.
Next week Madison take on Hanover Park at 7:00 PM. Madison will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. Lenape Valley will be staying on the road, facing off against Wallkill Valley.
