Make it three blowout wins for the Dayspring Christian Academy Lions this season. They put the hurt on Christian Heritage Academy with a sharp 41-19 win on Monday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-4.
Despite the loss, Christian Heritage Academy had strong showings from Maggie Weddle, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, and Julia White, who scored four points along with four blocks and two steals. That's the first time this season that Weddle pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Dayspring Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Christian Heritage Academy, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Roanoke Valley Christian the next time they take the court. Christian Heritage Academy will head out to face Roanoke Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Dayspring Christian Academy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
