There's no place like home for R.J. Reynolds, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past the North Forsyth Vikings, posting a 79-30 win. The Demons have beaten the Vikings the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Vikings has come to flipping the script.

R.J. Reynolds got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was MJ Russell out in front who shot 58% from the field on his way to 17 points and three steals. Those 17 points gave Russell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Broadnax, who posted seven points along with five rebounds and five steals.

R.J. Reynolds was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Forsyth only racked up five.

Jeffrey York and Peyton Thomas certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. York scored six points and seven boards, while Thomas earned four points. Thomas is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

The win got R.J. Reynolds back to even at 1-1. As for North Forsyth, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. R.J. Reynolds will host Mount Tabor at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Forsyth, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Stokes at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
