Softball Recap: Taconic Hills Wins Going Away Against Germantown

Taconic Hills not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 27, 2024. Everything went their way against the Germantown Clippers as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Clippers: they've now won three in a row.

Kaylin Brazie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 17 Ks.

On the hitting side, Taconic Hills got a massive performance out of Adele Crayton, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Manzi, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.

Taconic Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Germantown only managed one hit.

Taconic Hills' victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Taconic Hills will face off against Cobleskill-Richmondville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Germantown, they will head out to square off against Rensselaer at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
