Basketball Recap: Westminster Catawba Christian Skates Past Hickory Christian Academy with Ease

Westminster Catawba Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They claimed a resounding 62-27 win over the Hickory Christian Academy Knights. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Indians this season.

Westminster Catawba Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myana Fore, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. Fore has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Leah Ross was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.

Westminster Catawba Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hickory Christian Academy only posted one assist.

Despite the defeat, Hickory Christian Academy had strong showings from Cece Dechellis, who posted two points and 16 boards, and Kara Whitford, who had 11 points. The dominant performance gave Dechellis a new career-high in boards.
